Texas Railroad Sesquicentennial - Central Texas

UP northbound train SHOGY passes through Millican, Texas -- on the UP Navasota Subdivision between Navasota and Bryan -- on September 7, 2003. This much-publicized train was a high-wide special which originated earlier in the day in Houston. Destined for a Wyoming "wind farm", the train was carrying components for large wind turbines which upon arrival will be assembled and used to generate electricity.
