UP local L-HU08X was approaching Houston's Harrisburg Jct. when Jimmy Barlow snapped
this photo on September 7, 2003. Since the rails where the BBB&C began (just east of
this location) are now gone, this junction is the only place on today's line to Stafford
where the name Harrisburg is found.
The train in the photo is operating on the Union Pacific Strang Subdivision
(ex-SP to Galveston); the former BBB&C (now the UP
Glidden Subdivision) is the track curving off to the
right.
