Below is the Conrail schedule for Binghamton and Port Jervis,
along with individual schedules for each of the trains. The schedules
are from the Eastern Pennsylvania Rail Page (now Eastern Railroad News),
by J. Alex Lang. I have provided a description of each of the columns
in the schedules.
Symbol: The train designation.
Origin & Destination: In most cases,
where the train enters Conrail property and where it leaves Conrail property
(for example, the Susquehanna trains).
Search text found in: This column does
not actually concern the general user. Since the schedule was generated
by a search engine, this column tells you in which word the search string
was found.
Frequency: How often the train operates.
This column tells you on which days the given train originates.
Action: What the train "does" at that given
time.
LV=Departs the given location
AR=Arrives the given location
OR=Originates at the given location (Enters Conrail
property at the given location)
TE=Terminates at the given location (Leaves Conrail
property at the given location)
PS=Passes the given location
Time: When the train is scheduled to "perform"
the specified action (ET=Eastern Time).
Day: Tells you in which day of operation
the train is. Along with Frequency, this lets you determine
on which days the train will or will not pass the given location.
For example, a train that has a frequency of "Wednesday only" and
a day of "3" would pass the given location on Friday, 3 days
after originating.
