A novel way to introduce new rolling stock during
operating sessions. |
Frank Titman - Frank has weekly
operating sessions on the Spiral Hill using a card system. In order to introduce
(and remove) rolling stock on the layout, Frank uses a barge system. He has
built 10 barges that are stored on racks under the layout. Each barge can hold
11 cars. During an operating session, an empty barge is set on the layout and
loaded, then the barge is swapped out with one on the rack to bring a whole new
set of cars onto the layout.
