ALF locomotive is the non-streamlined version of CLF locomotive. It generally similar with them
ALF locomotive are perhaps the strangest locomotive in Australia: it used to start its life as a twin cab carbody loco in 1976. When it was modified in 1993, it was decided to blanked-off the second cab, making them as a single cab locomotive.
Such modification looked silly, but it was a weight saving measure, and a twin cab loco is uneccesary for long distance journey.
