Rural Railroad

K.L.W. & K. R.R.

Named after my grandchildren: Keri, Lauren, William and Keaton; this 1/8 scale, 7 ½" railroad, is for the enjoyment of children of all ages and a piece of living history showing what a railroad might look like, in the 1930's and '40's, here in the rural mid west - the railroad of my childhood.

The beginning rolling stock is a Farimont Speeder and Gondola Car. The initial trackage was layed out as a Boy Scout Railroad Merit Badge project for my Scout Troop in '98. It was an oval measuring 40' x 65' using full profile aluminum rail set on 2 x 2 crossties. I didn't know much then (and still wonder today)
