Here are some scenes taken at what is still an excellent train-watching
spot: Vancouver, WA just north of Portland. Roses were in bloom in June 1979 and they form part of the scene for 2 freights. First is a Milwaukee
Road freight running northbound on BN trackage rights. The next photo shows a
southbound BN freight. Of particular interest is the operator handing up orders.
Finally,
the NP station at Chehalis, WA had a fence around it in 1979; thus, the restricted view of passing trains is nothing new.
