Colorado & Southern 2-8-0 Consolidation class B-4C #60 was built by Rhode Island Locomotive Works in 1886 for Utah & Northern (owned by Union Pacific) as U&N #263. In 1890, UP transferred U&N #260-265 to it's Denver, Leadville, & Gunnison line, keeping the same engine numbers.

When Colorado & Southern assumed operation of all Colorado Union Pacific narrow gauge lines, it renumbered all the narrow gauge engines. Number 263 became C&S #60.
