Display #7	Once a common sight on freight trains, cabooses were the trains crew's home away from home.  This caboose was in service until July 2001 when it was damaged in a derailment.  From 1994 to July 2001, it was stationed in Longmont and used daily on local freight trains.  #12300 was donated to the BCRHS by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway on July 31, 2001.
