Display #1	40-foot boxcars such as this used to be very common on railroads and were used to haul items ranging from grain to automobile parts and everything in-between.  C&S 1771 was built in August of 1957 and remained in service until 1980.  It was donated to the BCRHS by United Western Supply in Denver in March 2000.
