| The new year brought some presents for those looking for something new and unusual on the NS Harrisburg Line. Due to tunnel work in Baltimore, CSX needed to detour some of its trains onto NS, using the Harrisburg Line and Lurgan Branch to connect to the south. CSX M371 and M372 were among the first trains to be detoured, and the detours are expected to continue for several months. Here CSX M371, led by ES44AC-H 3080 and ET44AH 3394, heads west through Bridgeport PA on February 3 2025. The initial schedule had M371 departing Philadelphia in the early afternoon so that it could run before Norfolk Southern's own 39G. |
