Railfan Pictures of the Week - 1/26/2025 |
A quick trip into the city is not complete without a stop at North Philadelphia Station on Amtrak's busy Northeast Corridor. On July 29 2024, I got to the station platform just in time to catch a pair of westbound push pulls. First up is a New Jersey Transit train from Atlantic City running from Shore interlocking to Zoo on Track 1, which is unusual for NJT trains. Pulling the three cars was GP40PH-2B NJT 4215. |
Hot on its heels is an Amtrak Keystone train coming down Track 3. |
The Keystone was led by cab car AMTK 9634. |
Cab car NJT 6018 and ACS-64 AMTK 651 were on the hind end of the trains respectively as they pass North Philadelphia tower. The trains will probably arrive at 30th Street Station within moments of each other. |
