| In the Spring of 2024, SEPTA joined the ranks of CSX, NS, NJ Transit, MetroNorth and other railroads that have been embracing their heritage. Commemorating fifty years of service, their shop forces restored Silverliner IV SPAX 280 to its look when it first ran back under the auspices of the Reading Company under contract to SEPTA. Here it is making its first trip to Lansdale PA on the tail end of Train 6520. |
