The clock has just turned, it is midnight on Leap Day, February 29 2024, and Pennsylvania Northeastern Railroad local W230 gets the signal at Lansdale Station with SD40-2W PN 5342 leading. |
The first car in the consist was NHRR 10021 aka Pacific Cape, finally heading to its new home in New Hope. |
Along with a number of tank cars for Johnsville, SD40-2W PN 5315 brings up the rear of W230. The train will head down to Glenside where 5315 will lead the train up SEPTA's Warminster Line. |
Three hours later, CSX L042 starts its journey back to Woodbourne Yard. |
The power was the usual trio of SD40-2's: 8319, 8823 and 8024. |
