Railfan Pictures of the Week - 4/11/2021 |
SEPTA West Trenton Line Philmont Station Philmont PA March 19 and 25 2021 |
It has been a year since the SEPTA push-pulls were mothballed, and they finally reappeared in revenue service in March 2021, albeit in an abreviated form.. A couple cars short of the usual pre-pandemic train, Bombardier cab car SPAX 2408 leads three coaches at Philmont Station. |
ACS-64 SPAX 906 is probably grateful to be able to stretch its legs after a long nap. |
Service is still not back at full capacity as the passengers haven't return in numbers, and this inbound train with Silverliner IV SPAX 450 passing what would normally be a bustling parking lot can attest to that. |
Normally the stop at Philmont would allow me to get the shot at Pine Road and run down to the north end and get the away shot at Tomlinson Road. |
But with limited ridership, the stop is very quick and I could only get to the north end of the platform before they were already gone. My guess was that less than a half dozen passengers disembarked at this usually busy station. |
