Railfan Pictures of the Week - 1/17/2021
Pennsylvania Northeastern Bethlehem Branch Lansdale, Hatfield, Souderton and Telford PA December 17 2020
A week before Christmas the area received its first appreciable snowfall in years, and the track crew at PN was on the job the next day, clearing switches in the yard. While it varied from a few to several inches, it was still there to shovel, but nothing like what it was back in 2016.
After sorting out the yard, PN L160 headed north, destination unknown.
The sun made an occasional appearance as they made there way up the line, here approaching Bergey Road.
It became apparent that this was a plowing mission to clear the rails. At Main Street in Souderton, the snow, as it was, was flying.
A satisfying display at Reliance Road.
Finally across the county line at Telford, but wait ...
they kept on going to Meetinghouse Road, ...
finally stopping just short of Route 309, the farthest I have ever seen them run north.
