Pennsylvania Northeastern Bethlehem Branch Lansdale PA June 4, 6, 7, 8 and 10 2020 |
PN brought up their PRR F41 flat car from New Hope with a load of ties in preparation for the switch replacement project the first weekend of June. |
Heading north to Eighth Street to drop ties for the weekend work, crossing over Cannon Avenue. For those who wonder, the sign on the building reads "ABRAM COX STOVE CO. NOVELTY STOVES FURNACES RANGES BOILERS MAIN OFFICE AMERICAN & DAUPHIN STS. PHILA." "NOVELTY" was their brand name. |
By Saturday morning, MOW personnel was already hard at work ... |
having already taken out the old ties, rails and switch to the Soap. |
By the late afternoon, they had already laid the new ties and had started positioning the rails and switch. |
Sunday morning and they are putting the finishing touches on the track. |
By Monday morning, they were still working on the switch, but the running track was back in use as L160 waits for the ok to proceed north. |
On Wednesday, the track circuits apparently were not working yet as C746 set out flares to protect the crossing. |
