Railfan Pictures of the Week - 05/26/2019 |
Amtrak Northeast Corridor Cornwells Heights Station Bensalem PA May 10 2019 |
A late lunch on the NEC started with Keystone Train 609 led by cab car AMTK 9633. |
Trailing was ACS-64 AMTK 656 passing under the catenary support at the station. Notice between Cornwells Heights and the former Andalusia station in the distance the catenary only needs to be supported by wires instead of the heavy steel supports. |
The sun popped out for a late running Northeast Regional 171 with a shiny ACS-64 AMTK 617 on point. |
Behind 171 was Acela Express 2159 with power cars 2012 and 2013, here passing the SEPTA local. |
The westbound parade was interrupted by a late Crescent, ACS-64 AMTK 639 pulling. |
Usually the last car on Train 20 is the baggage, but today they were deadheading a sleeper. |
And here's another unusual occurence, a light FJ-10 with GP40-2 CSX 6129 cruising back to Frankford Junction on Track 4. |
The late 2:00 lunch means a bonus Keystone as 650 boogies toward the Big Apple bracketted by cab car AMTK 9634 and ACS-64 AMTK 658. |
