SEPTA Neshaminy Line Neshaminy Falls, Trevose and Philmont PA January 30 2018 |
After more than a month on the property, SEPTA has started testing of its brand new engine: ACS-64 SPAX 901. After a trip up the Warminster Line, the test train ran up the Neshaminy Line, stopping in West Trenton for lunch before returning back to Wayne Electric. |
Unfortunately around 14:00 it encountered wire trouble just south of Trevose Station and had to be rescued by RL1A 61, which was pulled off the wire train in Jenkintown. |
The wire problems caused single track operation of outbound service from Jenkintown to Neshaminy and the suspension of inbound service during the evening rush. The rescue train finally passed Philmont at 17:20. |
