CSX Trenton Line Langhorne Station Langhorne PA August 29 2017 |
The best thing about the oil and ethanol trains in and out of Philadelphia is the variety of power, and K602 is a good example as we don't usually see Kansas City Southern power around here. |
Lead unit on K602 was ES44AC KCS 4786 in the colorful Southern Belle scheme. |
Contrasting with the lead unit was trailing unit AC44CW KCS 4567 in the much less colorful Gray Ghost scheme. |
The audience for today's train were the passengers waiting for the next SEPTA train into town. |
Usually a long freight right about the time of a passenger train causes anxiety for those parking in the SEPTA lot on the east side of the tracks, aka the wrong side of the tracks, at least platform-wise. |
But that won't be a problem today because of delays due to downed wires near Woodbourne. So these lucky people may get to see a few freight trains before they catch theirs. Oh, you lucky, lucky dogs! |
