New Officers for Rail Museum
The Board of Directors of the Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum announces the election of Museum Officers for the 1990-2000 term.
Blaine M Snyder of Hagerstown, Maryland, was re-elected Chairman. Robert H. Rollins, II, Boonsboro, was elected President, Robert R. Tracey, Sr., Hagerstown, Senior Vice President and Leonard Crapoff, Hagerstown, Vice President. William L. Knode of Hagerstown was reelected Treasurer and Joyce S. Stanley, Hagerstown was elected Secretary.
Other members of the Board of Directors are William H. Barnes, Mercersburg, PA, Rick E. Eyler, Rocky Ridge, MD, A.G. Bobby Fouche, Hagerstown, Wayne Proper, Brunswick, Carroll F. Spitzer, Hagerstown, and William M. Wellman, Jr. of Boonsboro.
The Museum was founded in 1990 to preserve the railroad history of the Hagerstown area and has been in operation since May of that year at the Burhans Blvd. Site. The Museum iscurrently seeking a larger site on which it may construct a new museum, shop buildings, and trackage to better display its collection of artifacts, tools, turntable and 16 pieces of railroad rolling stock. Messrs. Knode, Rollins, Snyder and Tracey are founding Directors of the non-profit organization which was incorporated by members of the Hagerstown Chapter, National Railway Historical Society.
