History:
Line built by Vancouver, Klickitat & Yakima Railroad starting in 1888.
Became Portland, Vancouver & Yakima Railroad in 1898.
Taken over by Northern Pacific in 1903.
NP sold the line to Longview, Portland & Northern Railway in 1960.
LPN sold the line to Chelatchie Prairie Railroad in 1981.
Service on the line discontinued in 1984.
Abandonment of the line was authorized on August 29, 1985.
Line purchased by Clark County in 1987, and line operated by LINC.
The Battle Ground, Yacolt & Chelatchie Prairie Railroad (BYCX) leased Battle Ground to Chelatchie (19 miles), where they began excursions in 2001.
Clark County announced on November 13, 2003 that the Columbia Basin Railroad would be the new operator of the line effective January 2004.
Line reopened as Portland Vancouver Junction Railroad.
