ROC News 2003 July - December
- July 19, 2003:
Saturday was a beautiful day on the RS&N.
Carey Boney, Jim Gundling and nephew Carey Weaver rode on Saturday.
They started in Lumber Bridge and went south to 211 at Red Springs.
Then they went north to Parkton for lunch.
It was a beautiful day to ride, cloudy and a breeze.
Then back down to chicken plant, turned around and headed back to
Lumber Bridge for home.
The vines, crossing the tracks, are getting bad in places.
In places had to clean out brakes three time in three miles or so.
From Lumber Bridge to Parkton the broom straw is really bad.
Heading south out of Lumber Bridge, crossing 20 hwy, the vines will cause
your wheels to spin.
Riders are going to have to start taking time to work the
growth and not just ride.
Thanks to Carey Boney for this report.
