The third stop featured
an incredible coincidence of vintage cars driving along the
adjacent California Highway 108 in Stanislaus and Tuolumne
Countys. The only thing we needed was a slightly more vintage train!
Also at this location, a married
couple that I parked myself next to
had a funny story about the toy fox on the wooden post. The woman
had "borrowed" the fox from her cousin's house and they were
photographing it to extort ransom. They also held seats in the
same coach a few rows away from our rowdy over the top group.
At the fourth stop, one crazy or
creative athletic
railfan climbed onto an electric transmission line tower!
