Below, "the Oregon Express is powered with the same diesel engine/transmission combination as the Zooliner but power is generated to the four driving wheels through a right-angle gear box and chain drive. It has the same safety features as the other trains."  It is a very handsome locomotive.

I did actually walk around the zoo for several hours to see the animals.  Below are a few things which attracted my attention. 
   

   

   

Washington Park has many attractions including the Washington Park International Rose Test Garden, the Oregon Zoo, The Forest Discover Center, Children's Museum, Japanese Gardens and Summer Concert Series.
