Once in San Berdoo, I headed to the Mt. Vernon overpass of the railroad tracks to join about 120 other interested onlookers.  My first order of business was to find someone with a scanner and inquire the whereabouts of the 3751.  The first answer was a rude remark that it was "somewhere over that way" with a point of the arm to the west.  The serious answer was the train was about 7 to 9 miles west of San Berdoo.   Word was the train requested to stop at Rialto to discharge a passenger.  One other question of timeliness of the arrival of the 3751 train now was would it arrive before the Metrolink 359 train was to depart San Bernardino?  As it turned out, the 359 departed on time at 11:05 AM, which meant a meet with 3751 slightly west of the Rialto Metrolink Station.  This only meant a slght delay, as Rialto is close to San Bernardino.

In the below right photograph, the MotivePower locomotive is putting out quite a cloud of exhaust pushing its train up the grade on the flyover.

Finally, the 3751 became visible under the flyover.  You can barely see (at the thumbnail's resolution) the 3751 headlight to the left of the second flyover pier from the left.  Finally, the 3751 climbs the eastbound grade of the flyover and crests it.

On wide angle setting, lower right, the train is just visible.

3751 slowed down on the downgrade into the station.

Frieght action was busy with trains in both directions and from both major freight carriers, BNSF and UP.

Below, one can see San Bernardino Mayor Patrick Morris hanging out of the 3751 cab.
