At Blairsden, the FRX met a westbound
manifest train. The crewman
is giving a roll by.
Approaching the Clio Viaduct, these ties were laid out and
numbered. These wooden members are being switched out.
Notice the lack of walkway in the photo below right and the next
lower left photo has the walkway.
Finally, the Feather River Experss approached Portola and the Western
Pacific Railroad Museum. The train was to stay over two nights
and return to Emeryville on Sunday August, 22.
