With the circus train out of the picture, Ryan was kind enought to
drive me to San Jose International Airport where I had a JetBlue flight
to Long Beach. Getting off the ground proved to be a small
problem, though not as bad as at Kodiak Island Alaska on July
3rd. The jet was a brand new Embraer built in Brazil which
featured 2 x 2 seating. However, a ground crew member had a
problem with the towbar andcombined with bad communication with the
flight crew, got his foot run over by the nosewheel of the jet.
After a 15-20 minute delay, we were cleared for take-off and I got
home. Thanks to Ryan Martin for his help in the Bay Area.
