It is a rare occasion that a mile long train uses this line. It
is used mostly by Amtrak and Metrolink passenger trains. UP sends
their Costa Mesa local freight through. BNSF also uses this line
for local freight switching too. Becasue the circus train was
still mostly on the freight track it passed me slowly.
Union Pacific power took this train all the way to San Diego.
Various circus personnel were in the vestibule watching the sight of
Angel Stadium.
I received more than one friendly wave.
Finally the freight portion of the train passed.
I did not expect to see this train
again. What I did see is on the following pages.
