The store car had more displays in addition to a lot of merchandise for
sale. I purchased posters which I intend to have signed by the
artist who lives in the Seattle Washington area.
Photos of the model trains are included in the Amtrak
40th Anniversary web site.
In November 2011, I had some guests on my sailboat in Long Beach.
As we were returning through the marina, we detoured to view some old
wooden boat. Once we turned around to head to put my boat into
her slip, we passed boats and saw one name of a boat that started out
"Viag..." but could not see the whole name. We joked about the
boat being named "Viagara" and the owner heard us and closed the gate
on the gunnel. It turned out to be named "Viaggio".
The following poster was in the narrowest part of the store car and was
difficult to photograph.
No CocaCola was consumed on the way to or from San Diego, nor at any
time during the production of this article. I did, however, go to
Karl Strauss brewpub and restaurant in San Diego to consume some food
and several beers. They had a flavor called "Off the Rails" which I had to try.
I didn't return to my mommy's house either (I own my own house), though
I did return her call which I had missed earlier in the day.
