The caboose was built from scratch in the same shop and is painted in authentic Rio Grande colors. The Colorado Midland Palace Stock Car was built by a fellow member Jay Buchanan and has since been painted and lettered. The flat was built by Lyle Parkes and works great for the open houses. Their trackage is now over 1500' and has 2 loops with a wye and a trestle that is over 100' long. They have installed a water tower that really fills the tender and working crossing signals. Future plans call for rebuilding the trestle in a more prototype form and extending the track through a tunnel to create a double loop.
