In the begining, there was an idea and a foam land form. The land form was cut by Jeffery Evans of Redstone, Colorado using a contour cutter following a reversed full size contour map. The finished diorama measured 7'x7', not including the custom oak case built by Modern Kitchens. Because of the size of the diorama, it was necessary to cut the form into four squares and the reassemble them into the actual size. This was first accomplished in one of the available stores in the Glenwood Springs Mall. Jeffery was also responsible for the drawings we used to assemble the structures.
