London Euston - 9th January 2000

On the evening of 9th January I was in the Euston area for a few drinks. The "gen" came through that 47348 had rescued the 18:30 Manchester Piccadilly to Euston Virgin Trains service at Polesworth. Frantic phone calls followed to find out what happened and at 22:00 47348 finally arrived two hours late with a lot of annoyed customers! All photos © Matthew Kitchin.
