On January the 25th, George Cole organized a get together for as many Rochester Area S-Gaugers members who could attend a operating session at Jim Voldan's home in Hilton, NY. Jim has a nice DCC controlled HO layout that is set up for operating sessions. These sessions are set up so that each piece of rolling stock has its picture on both sides of a "waybill" with a destination on one side and the return destination on the other side. It proved to be a enjoyable challenge to pick up and drop off the various pieces of rolling stock in an efficient sequence. George Cole, Jeff Faust and his son Wolfgang, Dave Daniel, Chuck Smith and myself, Bill Johnson, were there to join in on the fun. Below are a few pictures of Jim's progress on the scenery and the upper level of his layout. The close-up scenes start at the door and go clockwise around his layout room. For comparison you may see our visit to Jim's layout on January 2, 2007.
