We set up modules at the GSME show in Batavia in November along with the Rochester Area S Gaugers (Chuck, Roger, Dave, and George). Lew Cabella and Roger Huff brought their straight sections and RASG brought their corners and straights. We had a few electrical “gremlins” and a few “field” meets but nothing that affected the display for too long.

Roger ran his LTI NH electric with some freight cars and Chris Kroll ran his LTI docksider and a short freight. Lew ran his AM SD-60 briefly trying to pull a string of Flyer lumber flats. Apparently it was too much wood and stripped the gears of the diesel. Ray Abbott substituted his pair of SHS SW-9’s on a much shorter lumber train.

Frank Schenk, Mike Barren, Harry Morath, Don Webster, and Gregg Mummert were also on hand to assist with set-up, teardown, etc. Thanks to all that helped! We could have used a few more people at teardown to help members and RASG pack up and load cars. We received a donation from GSME for the display

Dealers started to ship the “L” Big Boy in time for Christmas. Did Santa bring you one? Several members must have been on Santa’s “nice” list and found them under their tree Christmas morning!

Ron Kemp sent the following link to preview two of the several layouts that will be on tour in Minneapolis for the NASG 2010 50th Anniversary National Convention. Nice work, Ron!

We are setting up the 4’x8’ layout at the TTOS show at the Leonard Post (2450 Walden Ave, Cheektowaga) on January 30th and 31st. We need buildings and small scenic’d areas for the display for this two day show - the layout looked sparse at the October show. Also, we need coverage running trains from 9 AM to 3 PM both days. Please plan to attend, bring something for the layout, and some trains to run. Let Don (, 716/947-4558) or Gregg (, 716/866-2989) know when you will be available to run trains so we have sufficient manpower for both days of the show. The critical times are opening and closing Saturday and Sunday

As always, we need volunteers and/or ideas for future meetings.
