Roger Delthony [mailto:rpd5@earthlink.net] submitted the following report on club activities during the month of December on Sunday, December 21, 2008.

Last weekend (December 13th or 14th) we had an interesting experience when we took the 3'x5' layout to a handicapped childrens' Christmas party at the New York Army National Guard station at the Rochester airport. George Cole, Dave Daniel, Roger Delthony, Craig Erickson, and Chuck Smith took part. The layout has push buttons for an action car strip and a Marx barrel loader and they both got a workout. The kids enjoyed the trains and we learned some things about running at an event like that.
Medley Center has informed the N-Gauge club that they/we must be out of the mall by January 8, 2009. So as things stand we should be moving from the mall to Our Lady of Mercy school in early January. I hope to meet with Father Gagnier in the near future to work out the particulars of being in the school. At the RASG meeting in November it was agreed that we would pay a modest monthly rent if required at another location. This will be discussed.
Several weeks ago I contacted pastors of two parishes in the area where the Catholic schools had been closed to see about us being able to relocate the club layout into a vacant school. Father Gagnier of Our Lady of Mercy parish in Greece offered to let us set up in his school. The Genesee Ontario Model N Gineers with whom we have been sharing the store at Medley Center for several years also have some of their modules stored at the Our Lady of Mercy school.

A meeting was held on Sunday, 5/18 at Chuck Smith's home. The following report was submitted by Chuck Smith.
Attendees were Roger Delthony, Craig Erickson, Dave Daniels, George Cole and Al Flandro and me. Al brought one of the new Des Plaines C&NW 53’ boxcars as a donation to the club. He is modeling 1963 and the boxcar carries a later (1965 I think) date. Thanks Al! We sat for a few minutes and chatted. Then we went down to the layout and hung out there for a little more than a couple of hours. Craig had never seen some of the stuff I have so I think he enjoyed it. Amazingly everything ran and after an early wreck (my operator error) things went pretty smoothly. We talked about the club layout. Except for one last (?) wiring glitch that Roger is on we think we’re done. There is some concern over whether our arrangement at the mall will survive. However, we’ve corrected some problems up to this point that would have been very difficult to fix without the layout set up. If the mall deal folds we will go back to having members volunteer to keep pairs of modules. I have room for my straights.
I gave a treasurer’s report. I explained for the new guys our concern about much of the money in the bank having been donated by Mrs.Shea as a trailer fund.

2008 has started with the Rochester Area S-Gaugers meeting at our club room to do maintenance on our modular layout located in the Genesee and Ontario MODEL -N- GINEERS N club. The "N" club shares space in their back room with our club. Our combined club room is located at the Medley Centre Mall in Irondequoit, NY. Since the first of the year we have been working on the turnouts and various electrical problems that have appeared in recent exhibits of our modular layout.
