Big Springs Museum Show in Caledonia, NY
We set up at the Big Springs Museum in Caledonia, New York, for the museum's first "Railroad Days" weekend. This two-day event moved RASG into a new venue and was a great success for both the club and the museum.
We got the layout together on Friday night, after slogging the modules up two flights of stairs to the room that had been set aside for our use. Attendance was good both Saturday and Sunday, and we used the time to add additional features to the layout, and the kids loved our improved action layout, which now has a K-Line barrel loader and diesel fueling facility.
Below is Rick Israelson's photo, and captures some of us hard at work taking the layout down on Sunday afternoon. To the right can be seen the grain facility on Mike Holland's modules, and in the rear the new industrial facility (an Ertl sale barn).

This show marked the debut of the low backdrops behind the new three-track staging yard, and they worked so well that we have developed plans to incorporate more (and add a more finished look to those we have). Click on the thumbnail for a bigger picture.
