Like any railroad, Western Maryland had hundreds of forms to record
a multitude of information, prepare bills and manage operations. This page
contains copies of selected railroad forms from my collection. After
you look at all these forms and what they were used for it is easier to
understand why railroads employed more than ten times the number of people
they do now. The number of clerks alone required to process and prepare
the waybills and invoices then compared to now using computers is amazing.
