In the yards behind the old CNJ shop which serviced the NJT fleet was
the �Bone Yard� where the E�s that didn�t �Make it� were canibalized for
parts or scrapped.

Some unlikely residents of the bone yard were three former Southern Railway E�s. It was hard to belive that the engines that were once the pride of the line and pulled trains like the Cresent Limited would end up wasting away in a New Jersey bone yard.
