Facing XG/M-911 is AWE-22907. Built by Baldwin Loco Works, US, in 1943 is one of
the war design locos used for both, passenger and freight traffic.
WL-15005 Sher-e-Punjab: This locomotive hauled the last
broad gauge steam train on the Indian Railways. This historic run was between
Ferozepur to Jalandhar on the Northern Railway on the 6th of December 1995.
This locomotive which mainly hauled Mail/Express trains
& christened as "Sher-e-Punjab" was initially allotted to Southern
Railway where it was based at the Shoranur shed. Subsequently it was transferred
to the Northern Railway where it was based at Bhatinda shed, then Ludhiana shed
at Ferozepur shed from where it finally retired.

Sentinel 6273 built by Sentinel Wagon Works, UK, in 1926 was popular loco for
construction lines. Till 1944, it was used on canal schemes in Punjab and later
as shunting loco in Amritsar Workshop.
The heaviest & the most powerful steam locomotive ever used on the Indian
Railway system. Weighing a gigantic 235 tons, these 4 cylinder articulated steam
locomotives were utilized mainly to haul heavy mineral & iron ore traffic on
the Bengal Nagpur Railway & later on the South Eastern Railway. These
locomotives were so powerful that they could easily haul a load of 2400 tons on
a 1 in 100 gradient.
