With the new CEM Cabcars, the older cabcars are being reassigned into operating consists. Currently, they still have their operating controls, electronic bell, whistles, headlights, ditchlights, classification lights, antennae, gps while side mirrors have been removed. NB: This is not the same car usage where a new cabcar was inserted behind the locomotive in the consist.
