Downtown
There are several good spots in town. Following are shots from my 3 favorites: Macon Junction, Edgewood and North end of the yard.
Macon Junction; December 2000.
NS 215 lead by 2 Conrails sandwiching an NS engine, gets a nice light early in the morning but in a tight corner.

Macon Junction; December 2000.
In the afternoon, Rock train G10 goes by a wide open spot by the Union Terminal lead by 8011, a C30-7 less than a year away from retirement.

Brosnan Yard, North End; December 2000.
Late in the afternoon, NS 322 power has no less that 10 engines including 4 LLPX GP38AC in UP livery. The consist was just turned around on the Y between Macon Junction and Edgewood.

Edgewood; July 2000.
This southbound is stopped for a new crew, before continuing on the old Georgia Southern & Florida to Valdosta. The consist has one of the rare Conrail Ballast Express C32-8.

Edgewood; July 2000.
A few minutes later, with the sun high in the sky, this northbound freight gets through the junction with one of the GE dash 9 C40W still in its primer suit.

Edgewood; June 2000.
Mid-afternoon shot of a norhtbound freight.
