Cordele, Ga; July 2000. 3192, an ex-Southern is an SD40 with a high short nose and HT-C trucks.The
ex Southern are numbered 3170-3200. These engines are still on mainline
services after 30 years of service. NS also has some ex N&Ws 1580-1624.
Macon, Ga; October 2000. 3255 is an ex Southern SD40-2 (3201-3328) with the high short hood.
These were supposed to have come with HT-C trucks but this one looks more
like a Flexicoil truck?
NS also has some SD40-2 from N&W (1625-1652 and 6073-6206). Both
1649 and 6194 have the low short hood.

Valdosta, Ga; July 1999. NS also inherited some SD40-2 from Conrail (NS3329-3447) all with the
low nose. A northbound freight has the ex Conrail now owned by NS, and
an ex QNSL now owned by Helms Leasing.
NS also inherited a few SD45-2 (NS1700-1706). No pictures at this time.
