RailRoad Research aims to put the resources of the Library of Congress and National Archives at your service by helping you organize your search and pinpoint the records that have your desired rail or other information.

Here is an example of some of the things that you can find in the Archives:

Silverton Colorado Narrow Gauge Snow Removal

Trollies on the Manhattan Bridge

Death Riders of New York City

As the recent articles in RMC (Railroad Model Craftsman) by David Lambert pointed out- there is a wealth of information available in the public archives- that you just can't find anywhere else.

We are 3 miles away from the College Park National Archives site-(less than 120 minutes by car or bus ;^)

I am a researcher available for LOC/National Archives Research- Audio/Video, Cartographic and Historical. Reasonable rates, quick turnaround, and intelligent discussion. We specializes in the millions of PUBLIC DOMAIN films and photos held by the government. For $300/day, you can expect to receive 30+ minutes of footage and/or 30+ photos, depending on your project.

Contact us about your research project. We will give you a free estimate.
We research your project, providing written descriptions and screeners.

Shipping is at cost via FedEx. Let us know if you have another shipping preference. Before shipment, all payment must be made in full. You may pay by check, or online through Paypal. You may use the screener footage in your final edit, but mastering is recommended. Mastering estimates are free.

If we can- we will also point you to local historical societies that might have further information.
