BC Rail also operated low-level "glass top" cars that qualify as "honorary" domes. The low-level domes and the Dinner Train were shut down in a BCR reorganization in late 2002 and all equipment put up for sale. The low-level "glass-tops" were sold to VIA Rail for "Skeena" use - the Dinner Train was sold to COE Rail for possible use on Vancouver Island. That sale was cancelled and the equipment was sold to Ontario Northland 2/2004. |
