This is the Osage City Santa Fe depot on the BNSF Topeka subdivision. This is a former Santa Fe line. The depot is now a nice railroad museum with a great variety of railroad items to stare at. This depot is also the final stop for the Topeka Railroad Days excursion trains. Photos by Eric Burris.
Santa Fe 114 east passes the Emporia depot at 2 o'clock in the afternoon in May 1998. The second unit is Santa Fe 97 an SDFP45 an ex-Amtrak locomotive. 97 is in the 90-99 class. Some of the 90 class locomotives were either sold to Wisconsin Central or destroyed in a derailment. Photos by Eric Burris.
