MY PHOTO GALLERY OF TRAINS
RAILROADS OF THE WEST PAGE 13
BNSF 8078 leads a train from the Murry yard in north KC,MO to Argentine yard at Argentine, Ks. These batch of photos are taken at the famous Santa Fe junction, one of the most busiest junctions in the world, in August 2001. BNSF 1658 works a transfer job and heads towards the UP Armstrong yard across the river. Photos on this page by Eric Burris.
Union Pacific 8711 west heads towards the river bridge. This is a former SP tunnel motor unit. Kansas City Southern pulls a train eastbound through the river bottoms from a yard west of the river. A mix of different locomotives are on this train.
On the BNSF tracks on the south side of the junction, BNSF operated a special train with BNSF538(dash 8-40BW) and UP 4556(SD70M) eastbound. I don't know anything about this train.
BNSF 4723 (dash9-44CW) got a special decal for the Microsoft Train Simulator program. This is the locomotive to be featured on the box for the software program. This was in August, 2001,I think.
KCS 2025 north rumbles past a small town of Asbury, MO on my way down to Neosho, MO in October, 2001. Note the American Flag on the nose of the locomotive. Photos by Eric Burris.
KCS 2027 goes switching some cars to the yard and comes back to the train after we arrived. Then the train proceeded southbound out of Neosho, MO. It was a beautiful trip down there. The scenery and trains are beautiful too.
