Ex-C&O
GP7 no. 5833 has been shut down for the night beside the
Nelsonville Depot, connected to John Riddle's C&O caboose.

The
Geep is seen coming into the passing siding to couple onto the
coaches on a rainy afternoon.
-
The 1999
"Chili Train" which is the annual brush-cutting train,
made up of cabooses and pulled by the 4005.
-
The HVSR regular train is
headed up by
the "Geep" (C&O GP7 no. 5833) passing through the
Nelsonville Yard heading towards Hocking College (and the Paul Bunyan
Show, a lumber-related show).

The regular
train has just been shut down for the night at the [Nelsonville]
Depot. The HVSR is just finishing up the Santa Trains, also indicated
by the wreath on the drop-step.

Force 0-4-4-0 65-tonner no. 4005:

45-tonner no. 7315:

GE-built
45-tonner no. 7315 (formerly no. 7318) has just pulled up to the
Nelsonville Depot with the 2000 "Chili Train." She's
currently in a coat of gray primer. After a complete repaint,
7315 will be in C&O blue and yellow.

This was a tough one to
classify, as the 45-tonner and the Baldwin are both in this picture.
The 7315 can be seen better, so it's here. The Baldwin is
shoving the cabs into the team track, while the 45-tonner
does some switching with the dump car. Photo

Ex-Cargill
Corp. 65-tonner no. 00711:

Whitcomb
65-tonner no. "00711" sets in the Nelsonville storage
track, awaiting restoration. This is the newest locomotive of
the HVSR roster, but it's the oldest diesel. It was built in
1944 for use over in Europe during World War II. It was donated
to the Hocking Valley Scenic by Cargill Corp., and arrived on the
property by truck in February 2001. Photo
