The RV's Lehigh Valley Branch crossed Fairfield Avenue in Kenilworth at grade. Two tracks crossed the roadway: the main track of the branch, and a siding to an on-line customer. Wyer's 1944 report on the RV indicates that this crossing was little more than a dirt road. Later on this roadway was paved.
