Jeff Jargosch, who
has been a fan of the RVRR since the early 1970's, is an avid HO-scale
model railroader. His Raritan Valley Railroad
incorporates pieces of the Rahway Valley Railroad as well
as the Raritan River Railroad along with his own
creations. The operation of the line, which is set during the 1940's, very
much mimicks the feel and operation of the old RVRR. While usual
operations of the line utilize one of the steamers, Jeff has also modeled
the RVRR's two 70-tonners in appropriate RVRR paint schemes. Other RVRR
pieces along the Raritan Valley Railroad are the New Orange Station,
the Springfield Station, and the Newark Heights branch. |

Rahway Valley #17 must be
having deja-vu, as it has just pulled into the Springfield
Station of the Raritan Valley Railroad, earily similar to the Springfield
Station on its own home rails. Photo
